Get in loser, we're going skiing. From alpine to après, packing for a ski trip can be overwhelming, so we're here to help. We've outlined all the must-haves to keep your looks both fashionable and functional on and off the slopes.
BUY & BRING | These are the items we recommend purchasing and packing.
- Slope Siren Ski Suit (we're not biased at all) - with double insulation and fleece-lining, your SS suit will keep you warm even in the coldest of mountain temps. It's perfect to wear on the mountain, at the lodge, into town, etc.
- Base Layers - you'll want to pack some good base layers to wear under your SS suit. For the budget-conscious girlies, there are some great options on Amazon, here is a good starter brand. If you're fine spending a bit more, Under Armour ColdGear is super warm and comfortable
- Gloves/Mittens - personal preference on which you go with here, but mittens will keep you warmer, check out our Minx Mittens
- Neck Warmer - trust us, you'll want this when the wind is whipping at -3 degrees, here is a warm and affordable option
- Ski Socks - leave the dress socks at home - here is our recommended pair of ski socks
- Goggles - they don't take up much space and it's worth it to have goggles you like (and look cute), our Siren Ski Goggles are perfect (again, no bias here)
- Beanie / Headband - when you finally sit down at the lodge and remove your helmet, the beanie will keep your look cute and your ears warm
- Sunnies - unless you plan to keep your helmet and goggles on at the après, bring some sunnies (you can put these in your inner ski suit pocket, or pack them in our Sloane Belt Bag)
RENT & RETURN | These are the items we recommend renting & returning if you want to save yourself the baggage headache.
- Helmet - we recommend renting as helmets can be bulky and hard to fit in a suitcase. Pro tip: make sure you rent a helmet with MIPs
- Ski Boots - these may actually fall under the buy category if you plan to ski often (it's nice to have your own comfortable boots), but if you're only skiing 1-2 times a year, boots are super easy to rent at your local ski shop
- Skis & Poles - your local ski shop will also help you find skis and poles for your height and skill level
From hitting the slopes to sipping champagne in the lodge, it can be a bit challenging to strike the balance between style and practicality when skiing. Packing becomes especially hard since winter clothes and ski gear can be quite bulky. Luckily most of the recommended packings items are pretty small and your Siren Ski Suit comes with a drawstring travel bag to make packing easier.
See you on the slopes.
